Professinal triathletes train for three sports…swim, bike and run.
BUT they often train in the morning then take a lunch break, take a nap and maybe get a massage then train again in the afternoon. Triathlon training should include mind body training as well as swimming, biking and running. How many triathletes go for a bike ride then sit down for lunch or a break? Try adding mobility training post workouts… open and lengthen the overused muscles and strengthen the opposing muscle groups. Do you move right? Do you move “sticky”?
Erin Carson from RallySport in Boulder, CO talks to Debbie about how they train their athletes and pro triathletes and when they start the recovery process. http://www.rallysportboulder.com/
